Getting Together

in our Community

The main function of our hall is to be a centre for our community, a place where we can all come together.

COFFEE MORNINGS

Coffee mornings are held at the hall every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month, from 10:30pm – 11:30pm. Some of the bakers in the village take turns to bring along a homemade cake.

There is no charge but a donation towards costs is always appreciated. At the end of each quarter, the donations received are split between the village hall and a local charity as selected by participants.

At the final coffee morning of 2022, the charity chosen to benefit from the donations was St Petrocs who received £196. A further £98 was donated to the village hall.

So why not come along and enjoy coffee, tea, homemade cake and a chat!

CURRY NIGHT - AUTUMN 2022

In November 2022, we had a Curry Night at the hall. Tickets sold out in 4 hours and on the evening 33 people sat down to a course meal of a chicken or vegetarian curry followed by a lemon trifle or lemon polenta cake. We all had a great time and the event raised £331.51 for hall funds.

Our thanks go to the organisers, everyone who helped and of course the chef!

'Thank you, a lovely evening!'

CAROL SERVICE - CHRISTMAS 2022

After a 2 year enforced absence, we all came together at the hall on 23 December for our traditional carol service hosted by Mike Searle.

After the service we enjoyed drinks and nibbles. Thanks go to Lynn and Ricarda for playing and those who did readings. It got our Christmas off to a wonderful start!

The retiring collection raised an amazingly generous £223.80 for the Penzance Food Bank
